CM to be Chief Commander of CCC
Addressing the Collectors’ conference, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the Command and Communications Centre would be established at three levels.
Every district will have a CCC. A division-wise CCC would also be set up. The CCC would function directly under the CMO.
“The Chief Minister will be the Chief Commander of the CCC,” he said.
The smart pulse survey should be completed by October 15, he said, continuing that the district administrations would have to ensure that every district was declared Open Defecation Free by October 31.
Later, the Chief Minister appreciated and presented the Government of India’s certificate to Vijayawada Commissioner G. Veerapandian, declaring Vijayawada Municipal Corporation as Open defecation-free.
He also launched AP bloodcell mobile app, poster & brochure which encourages blood donation and alerts users on requirement of blood in the state. based on their location.
Late evening, the Chief Minister held a review of the Law & Order situation and directed the police to be approachable for citizens. He added that policing should increase in the state to ensure citizens’ safety. “Crimes against women will be dealt with an iron hand and we will ensure that those committing crime will pay for it.”
