Seventeen soldiers were killed before all the four fidayeen, believed to be foreigners, were gunned down after they stormed into an Army headquarter near Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector in Jammu and Kashmir.
This was the first major attack on Army since the eruption of militancy in early 90s.
