Amaravati, Aug 22: South Korean delegation met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Praja Vedika today and expressed their willingness to extend infrastructure to Visakhapatnam metro rail.The delegation include infrastructure providers of metro rail coaches, signalling system and track developers.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister N Chandrababu described Visakhapatnam Metro is a flagship project. Stating that Visakhapatnam is a beautiful city, the Chief Minister said that the metro services should cater to the needs of people. Asking South Korean team to make Andhra Pradesh as a favourable destination, the Chief Minister said that Kia motors was set up in Anantapur district and rolling out its first car in January next year. The company was set up on a fast track. An industry friendly eco system was developed in the state and South Korean town ship would be developed in Anantapur district. He asked them to come forward to invest in the state.
Later the Chief Minister conducted a review meeting of CRDA and Amaravati Development Corporation.
BEAUTIFICATION OF CANALS IN VIJAYAWADA:The officials explained to Chief Minister on beautification of three canals including Bandar, Eluru and Ryves canals flowing through the Vijayawada city at a stretch of 37 km. They said survey was completed at a stretch of 4.8 km.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to prepare plans to beautify the canal bunds in Vijayawada, Guntur and Tenali cities. He directed the officials to prepare proposals to interlink the canals to develop best eco system.
PLANS TO DEVELOP KRISHNA RIVER FRONT:The officials also presented plans for Krishna river concept plan to develop the river bunds. The chief Minister asked the officials to develop the river front right from Vaikuntapuram upstream of Prakasma barrage and Chodavaram down stream of Prakasam barrage. He said such a natural beauty on river front is seen no where in the world, officials take initiative to develop better eco system in the region. He said people should enjoy at the river front.
RIVER COMMERCIAL COMPLEX NEAR PRAKASAM BARRAGE:The Amaravati Development Authority Corporation explained to the Chief Minister on beautification of 24.5 acres of site at Krishna river bund near Prakasam barrage. The Chief Minister asked them to design the flyover as iconic flyover and develop the area as commercial centre with Five star hotels, shopping complexes and service apartments as beautiful river view is available from the place. The officials also suggested the refurbishing the Rajiv Gandhi park with more facilities. The Chief Minister asked the officials to develop world class infrastructure at the place.
PROPOSALS FOR ZOO AT KONDAPALLI: The forest officials suggested 890 acres of forest land is available at Kondapalli to develop a zoo and safari. The officials said 160 acres of land available at Tadepalli is not suitable for zoo and the forest region at Kondapalli is most suitable.
AMARAVATI BONDS BSE LISTING: There was good response to Amaravati bonds and the officials invited Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for BSE listing programme to be held at Mumbai on August 27. Later the CRDA officials explained about the progress of works in capital region.
Minister for Municipal Administration P Narayana, Special chief secretary to CM Satish Chandra, Principal secretary Municipal Administration and urban development Ajay Jain, Amaravati Development Corporation CMD Lakshmi Parthasarathi, CRDA commissioner Ch Sridhar,CRDA member Dr SL Dhingra and other officials were present.
TTD to construct Sri Venkateswara temple in Amaravati capital
The Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam officials led by Joint Executive officer P Bhaskar presented their plans to develop Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple on the lines of Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam in 25 acres of land in Amaravati. The officials made presentation on the designs of the temple to Chief Minister N Chanrababu Naidu at Praja Vedika today. They said that they designed the temple as per Agama and Vastu sastra.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Minister advised the officials to protect the sanctity of the temple with ancient culture. He said modern facilities should be provided outside the temple with separate funds.
The officials said that they designed the temple mixing Pllava,Chola, Chalukya and Vijayanagara architecture.
It may be noted that the most beautiful example of Pallava architecture is Kailasanatha temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and the Vaikunta perumal temple to Lord Vishnu of 7thcentury located at Kanchipuram.
The Chola architecture include Tanjore and Gangaikonda Cholapuram in Tiruchurapalle district built in 11th century AD. The Chalukya architecture rock temple include Lord Vishnu temple in Badami, Aihole and Virupaksha temple of Lord Shiva at Pattadaka in Bijapur district of Karnataka.
The Vijayanagara architecture include the splendid temples of Hazararama and Vittala at Hampi built in Krishnadevaraya reign of 1509-50 AD.
