Foundation stone laid for Rajahmundry airport expansion
Union Ministers M. Venkaiah Naidu, Ashok Gajapathi Raju and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu laid the foundation stone for expansion of Rajahmundry airport. This will facilitate the landing of the bigger aircrafts while other facilities at the airport will be upgraded.
Later, the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the Civil Aviation Ministry and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) under the regional connectivity scheme (RCS).
