TSCOST organises State Level Event of 24th National Children’s Science Congress-2016 (24th NCSC – 2016 ) at Narayana Group of Schools, Shankarapally Campus, Patancheru Mandal, Sanga Reddy District during 10-11 November 2016.
Telangana State Council of Science & Technology (TSCOST), Environment, Forests, Science & Technology Department, Govt. of Telangana commenced the State Level Event of the 24th National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC) on 10-11-2016 at Narayana Group of Schools, Shankarapally Campus, Patancheru Mandal, Sanga Reddy District. About 200 Child Scientists, Guide Teachers, District Coordinators, District Academic Coordinators from all over the State are participating in the Event.
The Focal Theme of 24th NCSC 2016 is “Science, Technology & Innovation for Sustainable Development: With special emphasis on Accessibility for persons with disability”.
84 projects have been presented at the State Level Event on 10-11-2016. The evaluation process is governed by eminent scientists and academicians.
As per the State Quota, for Telangana , 13 projects shall be selected for participation at the National Level Event of 24th NCSC 2016 scheduled to be held at Baramati, Maharastra State during 27th -31st December 2016.
Indian Science Congress 2017, being held from 3rd -7th January, 2017 at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh State also has the provision for participation of the First Two projects out of these 13 projects.
The State Level Function of the event is scheduled at 10.30 a.m. on 11-11-2016 in the School auditorium.
Sri Manik Raj Kannan, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate, Sangareddy District; Dr. B. Sesikeran, Former Director, National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad; Er. Y. Nagesh Kumar, Member Secretary, Telangana State Council of Science & Technology, Hyderabad are invited to grace the occasion as Chief Guest and Honorary Guests.
Smt. Chandra Kala, DEO, Sangareddy District; Dr. Chand Pasha, State Academic Coordinator, NCSC; Sri H. Vijaya Kumar, District Coordinator are also invited to attend the State Level function.
Hence, All the representatives of Print & Electronic Media are requested to kindly extend wide coverage of the various activities of the State Level Event of 24th NCSC 2016 with a view to motivate the Child Scientists of our State and to inspire them to excel in their scientific pursuits.
