Hyderabad, October 10: The  High Court for the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana passed orders in the W.P. (PIL) No.298 of 2018.  The said Writ Petition pertains to the publication of the Electoral Roll post Second Summary Revision 2018.  The order dated 05.10.2018 which had imposed a restriction on publication of the voters’ list has been lifted by the  High Court, said by the  Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Hyderabad in a Press Release on 10th october 2018.

The  High Court has considered the submission made on behalf of the ECI that the claims and objections by any voter as eligible under law can be submitted post the publication of the electoral roll and that the changes / rectification of entries in the electoral rolls can continue up to the last date for filing nominations with respect to the elections.
