Regional Retreat 2016 a batch of 2nd session organized to the the prison personnel of Hyderabad, Yadadri, Nagerkurnool, Varnaparthi, Nalgonda, mahaboobnagar and Rangareddy Districts at State Institutue of Correctional Administration, Chanchalguda, Hyderabad. 150 Prison personnel from Warder to Jailor attended the Programme. Sri A. Narsasimha, Inspector General of Prisons (I/c), inaugurated the session. The topics which have to be discussed were on security measures of the prison administration, welfare activities to the staff as well as to the prisoners and suggestion and for the improvement of prestigious Mahaparivarthan programme. The total participants have exhibited their views and suggestions freely. The said recommendations were forwarded to the State Level Retreat 2016.
On inaugural speech, Sri Sri A. Narsasimha, Inspector General of Prisons (I/c), expressed that this meet will serve the purpose & review the progress of Department so far and identify the issues to be selected causing problem in development and also spoken proudly that the outcome results of recently introduced Mahaparivarthan Programme to the inmates of Telangana State Prisons put forward the Telangana Prisons Department distinguished in National Level. In previous retreats also so many recommendations of the staff were taken into consideration and among many suggestions were came into effect. Due to conducting of retreats, this department has been moving forward competing with other departments also and asserted that all should participate in active and contribute something for the department.
