THE COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, RACHAKONDA DETAINS AN OFFENDER MOHD.
SOHAIL HUSSAIN, WHO IS INDULGING IN THE CASES OF RAPE/OUTRAGING THE
MODESTY OF WOMAN UNDER PD ACT ON APRIL 3RD 2018.
In ongoing drive against the eve-teasers and trouble mangers in the Colleges in
Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, the Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda has detained
an offender who was involved in as many as Three cases of Rape/Outraging the Modesty of
Woman in the limits of Rachakonda Commissionerate since 2017.
The accused Mohd Sohail is hailed from Sardar patel nagar, Malkajgiri and now
pursuing his B.Com final year in one College. In 2014, he came in contact with Kumari
Mariam Amreen Naaz through facebook while she was pursuing Intermediate. He came closer
to her and had some photographs and started inducing her to fall in love with him. For which,
she lodged an FIR vide Cr No: 608/2017 U/s 354-D IPC later altered to Sec 504, 506 IPC.
After intervention of both side elders, it was amicably settled and case was compromised in
Lok-Adalath. Event after, he did not mend his attitude and continued to follow the victim girl
and with an evil intention to have intercourse with her, he uploaded her photos in a
fake INSTRAGRAM. The victim again lodged an FIR which is the subject matter of Cr No:
41/2018 U/s 354-A IPC of PS Malkajgiri in which he was arrested and remanded to judicial
custody and enlarged on bail. While she was minor, the accused had intercourse with
the victim girl under influence/threat for which the victim girl lodged an FIR vide Cr No:
153/2018 u/s 376 IPC R/w Sec 11, 12 POCSO Act-2012 and Sec 67 of ITA-2008 of PS
Malkajigiri.
The Malkajgiri Police arrested the accused on 01-03-2018 in Cr.No. Cr.No.153/2018 of
Malkajgiri P.S, remanded to judicial custody, lodged in Central Prison, Cherlapally and
subsequently, he was enlarged on bail.
As there is every possible of his being indulged in similar offences “The Telangana
Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot Leggers, Dacoits, Drug Offenders, Goondas,
Immoral traffic Offenders, Land Grabbers Act 1986 (Act No.1 of 1986)” has been invoked
against the Accused Mohd. Sohail Hussain on 03-04-2018 by the Commissioner of Police,
Rachakonda Sri Mahesh M.Bhagwat, I.P.S., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda with a view
to prevent him from acting in any manner prejudicial to the maintenance of Public Order and
detained him in Central Prison, Cherlapally.
