The President of India Ram Nath Kovind in his message on the eve of Chaitra Sukladi, Ugadi, Gudi Padava, Cheti Chand, Navreh and Sajibu Cheiraoba has said: –
“On the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Sukladi, Ugadi, Gudi Padava, Cheti Chand, Navreh and Sajibu Cheiraoba to be celebrated on March 25th, this year, I extend my greetings and good wishes to all my fellow citizens.
These festivals of the spring season, represent multiple hues of our cultural grandeur and rich heritage of our country. And these festivals are also a part of our glorious traditions sharing one’s happiness and fortune with others.
May these festivals strengthen the bonds of amity and fraternity amongst our fellow citizens. Also, people must fight the COVID-19 virus with full determination. Maintain social distancing and all other precautions while celebrating the festivals”.
