Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri K Chandrashekar Rao has asked Chief Secretary Sri Rajiv Sharma to assess the damage caused due to incessant rains in Hyderabad and rest of Telangana over last few days. Chief Minister who was on a visit to the national capital, reviewed the situation arising out of heavy rains and floods in the State. Lamenting that the ordinary people had to face hardships. CM instructed officials to reach out to them and to remain on high alert and also sought a report on the loss caused to Physical Infrastructure like roadways, tanks, public, private properties and agri crops.
On the orders of Chief Minister CS has asked District Collectors to prepare reports on the extent of damage and the same will be presented with Union Government to seek aid.

అసాధారణ వర్షాల వల్ల జరిగిన నష్టాన్ని వెంటనే అంచనా వేయాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ కె. చంద్రశేఖర్ రావు ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి రాజీవ్ శర్మను ఆదేశించారు. ఢిల్లీ పర్యటనలో ఉన్న ముఖ్యమంత్రి హైదరాబాద్ సహా రాష్ట్రంలోని అన్ని ప్రాంతాల్లో కురుస్తున్న భారీ వర్షాలు వరదల పరిస్థితిని సమీక్షించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా భారీ వర్షాల వల్ల ప్రజలు ఇబ్బందులు పడటం బాధాకరం అన్నారు. అధికార యంత్రాంగం ఎప్పటికప్పుడు అప్రమత్తంగా ఉండి ప్రజలకు వీలైనంత సహాయం అందిచాలని చెప్పారు. రాష్ట్ర వ్యాప్తంగా భారీ వర్షాలు వరదల వల్ల అపార నష్టం జరిగిందన్నారు. చెరువు కట్టలు తెగిపోవటం, బుంగాలు పడటం, రోడ్లు తెగిపోవటం, వంతెనలు కులిపోవటం లాంటి సంఘటనలు జరిగాయన్నారు. ప్రభుత్వ, ప్రైవేటు స్థిరాస్తులకు కూడా నష్టం వాటిల్లిందన్నారు. మొత్తం నష్టంపై అంచనా వేయాలని ఆదేశించారు. చాలా చోట్ల పంట నష్టం కూడా జరిగిందని ఆ వివరాలు కూడా సేకరించాలన్నారు. రాష్ట్ర వ్యాప్తంగా రహదారులు, ఇతర మౌళిక వసతులు, పంటనష్టంపై అంచనా వేసి నివేదిక తయారుచేయాలన్నారు. ఆ అంచనాలను బట్టి నివేదిక రూపొందించి కేంద్రానికి అందించాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి నిర్ణయించారు. భారీ వర్షాల వల్ల నష్టపోయిన తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రానికి తగిన సహాయం అందించాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వాన్ని కోరనున్నారు.
ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఆదేశాల మేరకు ప్రభుత్వ ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి రాజీవ్ శర్మ అన్ని జిల్లాల కలెక్టర్లతో మాట్లాడారు. జరిగిన నష్టంపై అంచనాలు రూపొందించాలని ఆదేశించారు.
