High Court bifurcated, TS gets 10 Judges and AP gets 16 Judges

The Union Government has issued orders constituting a separate High Courts for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with effect from January 1, 2019.

The present High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad will henceforth be called as the High Court for the State of Telangana. Allotted 10 judges to Telangana and 16 judges to the Andhra Pradesh.

Incidentally, Justice R. Subash Reddy, a judge of the common High Court who was elevated as Judge of Supreme Court of India has exercised the option for allocation to High Court of Telangana, the order said.

According to the orders, the following Judges were allocated to the High Court for the State of Telangana:

Justice Puligoru Venkata Sanjay Kumar, Justice Mamidanna Satya Ratna Sri Ramachandra Rao, Justice Adavalli Rajasheker Reddy, Justice Ponugoti Naveen Rao, Justice Challa Kodandaram Chowdary, Justice Bulusu Siva Sankara Rao, Justice Dr Shameem Akther, Justice Potlapalli Keshava Rao, Justice Abhinand Kumar Savili and Justice Todupunuri Amaranath Goud.

The following will be the judges of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh:

Justice Ramesh Ranganathan currently working as Chief Justice of High Court at Uttarakhand, Justice Chagari Praveen Kumar, Justice Sarasa Venkatanarayana Bhatti, Justice Akula Venkata Sesha Sai, Justice Dama Seshadri Naidu, Justice Mandhata Seetharama Murti, Justice Upmaka Durga Prasada Rao, Justice Talluri Sunil Chowdary, Justice Mallavolu Satyanarayana Murthy, Justice Gudiseva Shyam Prasad, Justice Kumari Javalakar Uma Devi, Justice Nakka Balayogi, Justice Smt. Telaprolu Rajani, Justice Durvasula Venkata Subramanya Suryanarayana Somayajulu, Justice Smt. Kongara Vijaya Lakshmi and Justice Manthoj Ganga Rao.
