GIVE SUGGESTIONS FOR THE PROGRESS OF MINERAL INDUSTRIES

Engineers from all over India participated in the webinar.
State vice chairman of planning board B. Vinod Kumar said that the mineral industries are facing huge losses due to corona and even this difficult time is to be converted into progress and he suggested to the engineers to put across a detailed proposal to the State Government.
He spoke in the webinar organised by the Institute of engineers, Telangana centre on saturday (13th June) on the topic ‘ Effect of covid on mineral industries.
He said that the corona effect is on all industries in all countries and at this time when many foreign industries are looking to move from China to India, this difficult time can be converted into an opportunity and move towards progress and for this purpose strategis have to be worked out.
He said that he fought in the parliament for jobs for women in the mineral industry and hence amendments were made to the 1952 bill and hence women should use this opportunity and the managements should also give opportunities to women.
He said that the mineral industries and engineers should increase production by taking all covid precautions. Only with increase in production will the mineral industry prosper. Till we are rid of covid the engineers have to take personal care and concentrate more on new inventions and a new thought process needs to be developed.
Proposal needs to e submitted on the taking up of new project by National mineral exploration trust, usage of DMFT funds, auction of coal mines, commercial mining, manufacture of mining equipment and the prospect of telangana giving opportunity to foreign FDI for latest mining methods.

Mr. Vinod Kumar’s efforts to present opportunities it for women in the mineral industry has been of great service to all of womanhood and because of his efforts mining missionary course is being recognised to mechanical engineering at JNITU.
State higher education chairman Papi Reddy inaugurated the technical webinar conference in the morning. He said that we have to win against the financial crisis due to corona. He was happy that the mineral I dusty was conducting this webinar with participation from national and international experts. The efforts of the mining engineers and old students union to educate the students by teaching them skills was appreciated and as per their request ME (mining) course was introduced at Osmania Universiry and Papi Reddy said his support will always be there.
Speaking at the webinar GM (marketing) K.Ravi shankar said that coal consumption has reduced due to corona and at he same time foreign coal is ready at a lesser price and due to this new challenges are being faced by govt. Industries. Due to the new policies by the govt. , companies like singareni will have to face stiff competition from private and foreign companies and thr govt. Mineral companies have yo save themselves with greater experience and efficiency of the engineers. D.N Prasad, Singareni advisor ( mining) was the chairman of the technical session.
