(A) RAINFALL SITUATION
(i) State as a whole received rainfall of 548.4 mm as against the normal
rainfall 429.1 mm with deviation of 27.8% (Excess) from 1st June to till
date.
(ii) Today’s Rainfall (01-09-2024 8.30 AM to 02-09-2024 8.30 AM)
Rainfall of 2.7 mm as against the normal rainfall of 4.5 mm is received
today. Vatsavai in NTR District received the highest rainfall 38.2 mm.
(iii) Rainfall Forecast

➢ Light to Moderate rain is likely to occur at isolated places in
Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitharama
Raju, Anakapalli, Eluru, Guntur, NTR, Palnadu, Annamayya, Chittoor
and Tirupathi districts
03 September
➢ Light to Moderate rain is likely to occur at isolated places in
Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitharama Raju,
Anakapalli, Kakinada, Konaseema, East Godavari, West Godavari, Eluru,
Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu, Prakasam, Nellore, Kurnool,
Nandyal, Ananthapuram, Sri Satya Sai, YSR, Annamayya, Chittoor and
Tirupathi districts.
(iv) Depression/ Cyclone movement: @3.30 PM 02.09.2024
➢ The depression over East Vidarbha and adjoining Telangana moved westnorthwestwards with a speed of 10 kmph during the past 6 hours and lay
centered at 1130 hours IST of 2nd September,2024 over the same region,
about 30 km southeast of Chandrapur (Maharashtra), 100 km south south-

west of Bramhapuri (Maharashtra), 120 km north of Ramagundam
(Telangana), and 140 km southeast of Wardha (Maharashtra)
➢ It is likely to move nearly west-northwestwards across Vidarbha and
weaken into a well marked low pressure area during next 12 hours.
➢ LOSSES
➢ No of Human Loss – 19 ( up to yesterday -15 ; 2 Persons missing in
NTR Districts
NTR District – 9 deaths
➢ Five (5) Persons died in Mogalrajapuram of Vijayawada City due to
Landslide of a foot hill
➢ One death in Vijayawada rural, One death in G Konduru Mandal and
One death in Reddygudem mandal and One death Paidurupadu
Guntur District – 7 deaths
➢ Five (5) deaths in Guntur District, One teacher and two students
in Pedakakani mandal belong to a private school, travelling from
uppalapadu to Namburu have been washed away in local Vaagu and
One women (80 years old) passed away due to fall of boulders in
Mangalagiri town 1
st Ward and One deaths in Ponnekallu of
Tdikinda Mandal washed away in Kondaveedu vagu.
➢ Two deaths reported from Pedakakini(M) and One unidentified
dead body found in deep water flow at Nandivelugu road, Guntur
Prakasam District – 3 deaths
➢ In Prakasam three (3) Childrens died due to drowning while they went
for swimming in Markapur Division

➢ 166 Traffic interruptions and 78 were restored

(vi) Rural Water Supply
➢ One Summer storage (SS) tank was breached at Peddakakani in Guntur
District. Temporary water supply restored
➢ No of PWS schemes damaged/washed away – 03 and restored – 02
➢ No of CPWS schemes inundated/washed away – 13
➢ Temporary arrangements made with local borewell sources and RO plants
for 13 no’s of CPWS Schemes and One number of PWS scheme
➢ Water packets/cans are made available in 56 relief centres in 4 districts
(NTR, Krishna, Guntur and Bapatla)

➢ 177.67 km length of surface road is damaged.
➢ 25 Breaches and restoration in progress

Sept,2024 :, of which 1964 calls received from 112 and 1222 calls from 1070;
➢ Grievances are related to search and rescue, food supply, water supply,
medical, water inflow and out flow levels at Prakasam Barrage

రానున్న రెండు రోజులు రోజుకు 2.5 లక్షల అరటి పండ్లు చొప్పున ముంపు ప్రాంతాల్లో బాధితులకు పంపిణీ చేసేందుకు సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నట్లు మార్కెటింగ్ డైరెక్టర్ విజయ సునీత పేర్కొన్నారు..

ఎలాంటి పరిస్థితి నైనా ఎదుర్కొనేందుకు అధికార యంత్రాంగం సన్నద్ధంగా ఉందని, అధైర్య పడవద్దని జిల్లా కలెక్టర్ డీకే బాలాజీ బాధితులకు భరోసా కల్పించారు.

జిల్లా కలెక్టర్ సోమవారం జాయింట్ కలెక్టర్ గీతాంజలి శర్మ తో కలిసి పెనమలూరు మండలం పెద్దపులిపాక, యనమలకుదురు కరకట్ట మీద పర్యటించి వరద నీటిలో మునిగిన ప్రాంతాలు, ఇళ్ళు పరిశీలించారు.

పెదపులిపాక గ్రామ పరిధిలో నీట మునిగిన ఎన్టీఆర్ కాలనీలో ఇంకా కొంతమంది లోపలే ఉన్నారని తెలుపగా, వారిని పడవల ద్వారా బయటకు తీసుకురావడానికి అధికారులు చర్యలు తీసుకుంటున్నట్లు , అధైర్య పడవద్దని కాలనీ వాసులకు కలెక్టర్ ధైర్యం చెప్పారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా వరద బాధితులు కలెక్టర్ ను కలిసి తమ సమస్యలు తెలియజేశారు. కట్టుబట్టలతో ఇల్లు వదిలి బయటకు రావలసిన పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడిందని, తమ పిల్లల పుస్తకాలు వరద నీటితో తడిచి పాడయ్యాయని, మరల పుస్తకాలు అందించాలని కోరారు. కొంతమంది తమ పిల్లల సర్టిఫికెట్లు కోల్పోయామని చెప్పారు. వరద తగ్గగానే జరిగిన నష్టం అంచనా వేసి ప్రభుత్వ ఆదేశాల మేరకు తగిన సహాయం అందించుటకు చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామన్నారు.
వరదలకు ఇబ్బందులు పడుతున్న వారిని ఆదుకోవడానికి ప్రభుత్వం సిద్ధంగా ఉందని అన్నారు.

పెదపులిపాకల గ్రామంలో మండల పరిషత్ స్కూల్లో వరద బాధితులకు ఏర్పాటుచేసిన సహాయపునరావాస కేంద్రాన్ని కలెక్టర్, జాయింట్ కలెక్టర్ సందర్శించి బాధితులతో మాట్లాడి వారికి అందిస్తున్న ఆహారం వసతులు గురించి ఆరా తీశారు. మెడికల్ క్యాంపు పరిశీలించారు. బాధితులకు ఇబ్బంది కలగకుండా చూడాలని కలెక్టర్ రెవెన్యూ అధికారులకు సూచించారు. సర్పంచ్ గుంటూరు శ్రీనివాసరావు,
