TSWREIS Sets up Information Kiosks
The students can easily understand concepts they find difficult in classrooms, all at the click of a button. That’s the Student Information Kiosks which will take learning beyond the textbooks. A revolution has begun in TSWREIS schools, thanks to the Society for launching the Students Information Kiosks. An initiative of the TSWREIS and Dr R.S. Praveen Kumar, Secretary, launched the Student Information Kiosks at the Social Welfare School, Narsingi, Hyderabad, on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion he said, the Kiosks will be installed in corridors of the dormitory and the students can access the kiosks conveniently 24X7. The Kiosk consists of a personal computer that has an interactive touch screen so that the students can access a variety of information at their finger tips through videos, audios, images, animations, etc.
The Secretary also inaugurated one day seminar on ‘Sustainable Developmental Practices’ is being organized by the Teri University, New Delhi, at Narsingi School. He spoke about the pivotal role of the youth in promoting and creating awareness about the sustainable environmental practices. The Secretary called upon the students to propagate the concept of sustainable development, conservation of forests and different ecosystems for the benefit of the future generations. The Registrar of the Teri University, participated in the seminar.
