Tirumala, 7 Nov. 20: Describing Women as the Avatara of Goddess Shakti, the pontiff of Visakha Sarada Peetham Swaroopanandendra Saraswathi Swamy said women have been leading the country as role model since vedic period.
Taking part in Keechaka Samharam-Nari Neerajanam programme at Nada Neerajanam platform on Saturday night at Tirumala, the pontiff said, Mahabharata always remains as an ideal epic as all the characters correlate to the contemporary world. “When Pavana Kumara Sharma is rendering the Keechakavadha episode with great eloquence, I could witness the glow and shine in the eyes of the women devotees who have gathered here to participate in this unique programme”, he added.
Meanwhile the program lasted for nearly two hours. When Keechaka Samharam done, the women lit the Deepam as a sign victory over evil forces and the modern day Keechakas with the background score of Ayigiri Nandini…rendered melodiously by singers of TTD projects. Later Sri Maruti rendered shlokas of Virata Parvam.
Junior Seer Swatmananda Saraswathi Swamy, TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy, EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy, Additional EO AV Dharma Reddy and others were also attended the programme.
The Pontiff of Visakha Sharada Peetham, Swaroopanandendra Saraswathi Swamy lauded the efforts of TTD for arranging spiritual discourses for the well being of entire humanity when the entire world is combating Corona Virus.
The Seer along with Junior Pontiff Swathmanandendra Swamy participated in Gita Parayanam. In his message he advocated that Bhagavat Gita is a spiritual text not related to just one religion alone. It preaches the essence of life and how to live in a righteous way. He said the Sundarakanda, Gita and Virataparva Parayanams will definitely provide relief to the entire humanity from the clutches of Corona Virus, he asserted.
