Akun Sabharwal, IPS took charge as Commissioner for Telangana Civil Supplies Department on Thursday at Civil Supplies Bhavan. He held a review meeting with Civil Supplies Department, Civil Supplies Corporation and Legal Metrology Officials.
Commissioner took note of the IT Projects implemented in Civil Supplies. He visited Command Control Centre and inspected the movement of vehicles transporting PDS rice GPS tracking and CC Cameras installed at godowns. IT officials explained Commissioner about the performance of e-Pos machines, e-Weighing Machine, T-Ration App and Ration Portability.
Commissioner Akun Sabharwal visited all the sections in Civil Supplies Bhavan and also inspected newly arranged Solar project at Civil Supplies Bhavan.
Commissioner inspected Consumer Forum, Civil Supplies Corporation Helpline and Toll Free Number, WhatsApp Control Room. He enquired from the officials about number of complaints received each, on which department most complaints are coming to the Helpline, Toll Free and WhatsApp number. He ordered officials to submit details of the complaints and movement of PDS rice transport vehicles to him each and every day regularly.
Commissioner Akun Sabharwal said in coming days he will do full length review on all the department of Civil Supplies.
